Improving Mindat.orgMas-Barbu quarry

14th Jan 2005 14:38 UTCPierre PELISSON

Hello,

The entry : "Mas-Barbu quarry, Bessines, Ambazac, Razès, Haute-Vienne, Limousin, France (65235)" must be deleted.

I made a mistake, it already exists in the database.

Thanx,

Pierre.

Pierre,

Could you please have a look at "La Chèze quarry, Ambazac, Razès" and "La Chaise, St Sylvestre, Razès". The two entries seem to refer to the same locality.

Peter

Hello,

This is a bit confusing, indeed.

La Chaise is a small village on the road from Saint-Sylvestre to Ambazac.

The Mindat La Chaise entry is about aplite veins and veinlets disseminated along the road, near the village.

La Chèze is an old quarry, near La Chaise (it is of course the same name), opened in a big pegmatite lens, very well known, for long, for splendid specimens of apatite.

I think that the best is to keep it that way.

Yours,

Pierre.
