The location exists twice:

http://www.mindat.org/loc-253377.html

http://www.mindat.org/loc-134414.html

http://www.mindat.org/loc-134414.html should be deleted, 253377 is more detailed and placed correctly as Giétroz is part of the Finhaut commune.

Cheers,

Stefan

Fixed.

Please have a look at the other localities in Val du Trient, as there appear to be more that need to be fixed:

(1) Emosson: One locality appears at Les Marécottes, the others at Finhaut. I suppose that they should all be listed under Finhaut.

(2) La Creusaz: Are those localities sub-localities of the uranium deposit, or should the uranium deposit be moved under La Creusaz ?

Dear Peter,

that are some tough questions. Generally:

Les Marcottes is a village belonging to the commune of Salvan. La Creusa (the mine) is somewhere between Les Marecottes and the small village of La Creusaz (both are written sometimes with or without the z). The mine and the little village are different locations. Technically the order is OK.

Emosson is unlucky as there is no village named Emosson anymore, just a barrier lake, the Lac d'Émosson. (see http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89mosson). All Emosson locations belong to the commune of Finhaut. The thing I don't know is wether the locations currently under Emosson are historical ones and now flooded or if they are just misplaced and should be sorted under Finhaut.

Cheers,

Stefan
