Improving Mindat.orgExport Catalog Fields Missing

22nd Sep 2016 17:09 UTCJeff Weissman Expert

I exported my catalog, but all of the mineral entry fields (Mineral 1 Mineral 2 Mineral 3 Mineral 4 Mineral 5 Mineral 6 Mineral 7 Mineral 8

) are blank! Looks OK otherwise.

I had this problem when trying to use the import function from Mindat using MineralDesk Curator. The answer from them was that the Mindat field that are hyperlinks would not export to MineralDesk. They indicated that they would be working with Jolyon to solve this. It has been quite some time since I had this issue. I have not tried again as MineralDesk has another problem, it does not like large catalog import. This is supposed to be resolved in a future version.
