Possibly a carbonate. Distinct from desautelsite and pyroaurite; Ni replaces Mn.

From Cedar Hill serpentinite quarry, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA.

The structure is possibly composed of 1/4(Ni,Fe)OOH within the laminae of a Mg(OH)2 rhombohedral lattice.
