Gypsum : CaSO4·2H2O
minID: R88-XUL

Dimensions: 67 mm x 57 mm x 47 mm

Gypsum "rose" 67 x 57 x 47 mm., from near Paducah in Cottle County. A farmer found a number of these in his field in the late 1990s and sold them to Nature's Gallery rockshop in Carrollton, Texas (Donald Slater), where I got this one. Art Smith's 1991 Rocks & Minerals article on Texas Minerals has a picture of a few of these, but identifies them only as being from West Texas. I think Art probably got his from the same rockshop.
