The Emitang mine
Emitang Mine is a company that began its activities in 1970 and is still active today. Fluorite exploration ended in 2021, and its current focus is the exploration of Syenite for industry.

A mina Emitang é uma empresa que iniciou suas atividades em 1970 e continua ativa até hoje. A exploração de fluorita foi encerrada em 2021 e seu foco atual é a exploração de sienito para a indústria.

The old galery entrance
Entrance to the old Spar mining galleries.
Spar mining is still active since the 70s, but today they operate exploring crushed stone (granite) for civil construction. These galleries in the photo were from the time that pegmatite was exploited to produce industrial feldspar, and have been abandoned for several decades. Today the place is visited by sports enthusiasts, and by bathers who risk bathing in its flooded galleries.

Entrada das antigas galerias da mineração Spar.
A mineração Spar ainda está ativa desde a década de 70, mas hoje opera explorando brita (granito) para construção civil. Essas galerias da foto eram da época da exploração do pegmatito para a produção de feldspato industrial e estão abandonadas há várias décadas. Hoje o local é frequentado por praticantes de esportes e por banhistas que se arriscam a tomar banho em suas galerias alagadas.
