This is an example of lapidary work made from the dumortierite that comes from an unnamed pegmatite on Etemba 135. It comes from the collection of the late Horst Windisch.
Crazy Lace
This is a view of the Crazy Lace area about 1km south of the main mine. Weathered Crazy Lace can be seen lying on the surface in amongst dolerite boulders.

Blue lace agate was removed from the mine in a bucket attached to a hoist. It was deposited in an area alongside the mine where it was sorted and trimmed of excess matrix before being transported elsewhere.
