The 2019 Super Digg activities included access to the last Willemite surface outcrop near the Franklin Mineral Museum. Eight photos were joined together to create a composite of the illuminated outcrop which had been lit up by a powerful SW UV lamp.

An Ore Zone Located Beside Pond in South End of Grey Eagle Mine

A magnesiochromite-serpentine ore zone located beside the pond in the southern end of the Grey Eagle Mine trench. This was one of the better zones observed within the mine. The host rock is a serpentinized Dunite. Visited 7/1/2014.

Adit Located Northwest of Grey Eagle Mine

Looking north into Grey Eagle Mine. If you look closely, there is a pond to the right of the trench. Possibly up to 10 feet deep it is about 6 meters wide and 30 meters long. Remarkably, it contained water despite a dry winter and summer heat. Visited 7/1/2014.

Main Pit
