Busycon

Description

Busycon is a genus of very large edible sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the subfamily Busyconinae. These snails are commonly known in the United States as whelks or Busycon whelks. Less commonly they are loosely, and somewhat misleadingly, called "conchs".
