The occurrence of Vesuvianite has brought the Bocksberg skarn the (at least regional) fame. On the one hand the Vesuvianite makes compact rocks (here are good crystals rare, mostly single but larger prism faces in the fractured rock), on the other hand the Vesuvianite can be found in smaller and well formed crystals with crystal bases in a garnet rock, together with Clinozoisite/Epidote, Grossular (Hessonite) and Anorthite as main-minerals.
