This modified octahedron of malachite coating cuprite is a near-floater, with only bits of matrix adhering to the back of the crystal. The malachite has a rich, emerald-green color, and it visually enhances the form of the cuprite crystal below. A classic. Ex Shields and Frances Flynn Collection.
