14.8 x 7.7 x 5.0 cm. Hydrozincite was the primary zinc ore in this old abandoned Pb-Zn-Ag-Cu-Au-Hg-Sb mine. This is an exceptional large two-sided plate of solid hydrozincite from the Ted Bartels Collection. The front hosts a sculptural large vug filled with sparkly botryoids of rare gemmy hydrozincite needles and the back is covered with crystal needles. Striking 2-color fluorescence - yellow under LW UV light and bright white under SW UV light. A significant find, as even the mine level is known (900’ Level). Specimens of this size, richness and quality are rare.
