In this Pyrite crystal from Cava Grande Nuova, we can see a good example of the diploid form (here with smaller octaedral and cubic faces). (xx 16 mm). Before I find this sample, I could not see any photo showing a diploid prevalent over other forms, only drawings from Goldschmidth Atlas were reporting it, but no collections or museums I saw had a quite pure diploid. I would be happy to see others !
