“This specimen was self collected in August 2010, and is 4.82 x 4.30 x 3.88 cm.
It consists of a small piece of heavily weathered stalactic goethite attached to a section of massive quartz veining. There is actually some velvety micro-crystallization visible in the folds of the goethite, and it looks quite nice under a scope. The goethite has also altered to limonite in spots.”
