“
Two of the three acceptable specimens of quartz found at this occurrence.
The largest crystal is 16 cm long by 11 cm wide, with a group of smaller crystals attached to its tip.
The slender one is 14 cm long by 3.5 cm wide, and an elongated crystal of mica, 5 cm x 2 cm, is attached to its side.
Weathering is obvious, and this is typical of the quartz crystals found on nearby road cuts on autoroute 5.”
