“This is a specimen of scheelite (blue) and calcite (red) under short-wave UL light. Quartz is also present, but not visible in this picture. The specimen is about 6 cm in the longest direction.
The photograph is a little over-exposed, so the colors are more vivid than as seen in person. The specimen is still quite bright in person with the calcite being about 50% to 75% as intense as the classic calcite specimens from Franklin NJ.
The photographic conditions were: ISO 200, f11 and exposure time of 25 seconds. The lens was a Canon 50mm L series lens.”
