“The microstructure of complex Ni-Co-As ore from Richelsdorf.
Highly porous rubble breccia consisting of strongly fractured aggregates of early nickelskutterudite (isotropic), fragments of leucoxene (yellowish dispersed light internal reflections) and mica-bearing country rock (various dispersed light internal reflections), partially replaced and cemented by palisades of rammelsbergite (orange brown to blue anisotropy), late nickelskutterudite crystals (isotropic), and barite gangue (various dispersed light internal reflections). Vertically reflected, plane polarized light digital image in air, with crossed polarizers.
Ore microscopy illuminates the darkness of the grey ugly with true reflectance colors!
