Several, sharp, lustrous, nearly-pristine, dodectahedral Almandine garnet crystals, to 20 mm, are partly exposed on a dark Biotite schist matrix. These Almandines are dark red in color, with distinct red flashes. There are a few broken garnets embedded in the schist, that could be removed, but I find them unobjectionable. Purchased from Egil Andreassen in 1997, this is a very nice specimen.
