Catalogue number IKM_129 of the collection of the Iveland Municipality (Iveland kommunes mineralsamling). The Slobrekka quarry is the richest deposit of gadolinite-(Y), where supposedly 2 tonnes have been mined. The largest known crystal weighed about 500 kilos! Additionally large numbers of smaller crystals have been collected through the years,even in recent times. This specimen was bought in 1991 from the german mineral dealer Lothar Otter. Size: 10 x 6 x 4 cm.
