This is about as gemmy as a beryl this size gets at the undisclosed pegmatite outcropping. Most are completely opaque, though some of the very small crystals are water clear. Glassy, colorless cross section of a heavily fractured naturally exposed beryl crystal. It was collected from an undisclosed un-mined pegmatite outcropping in Portland, CT in November 2016 by Rowan Lytle.
