This pegmatite deposit is justly famous for outstanding aquamarine specimens. The cabinet piece shown here is beautiful. A water clear transparent gemmy pale blue sharply terminated prismatic aquamarine crystal measuring 4.6 x 2.6 x 2.0 cm in size is set perfectly amongst a matrix of silvery crystallized muscovite. The crystal, where it rises above the matrix, is complete all around. Absolutely damage-free. The quality is superb. Size: 10.0 x 5.9 x 4.0 cm. Ref: ExtraLapis 1/2004; pages 48-53.
