Chandlers Mill Quarry, Newport, Sullivan County, New Hampshire, USA

A rather sharp hexagonal blue gray triphylite crystal with a bit of attached quartz and mica matrix. Got the specimen from James Zigras. The scale under the specimen is an inch with a rule at one cm.

Cluster of subhedral brazilianite crystals originally encased in a mass of hard goethite. Found in the late Ron Januzzi's collection with no label, but believed by Tom Mortimer to be from this locality. Ron had several other specimens from here and it is unlikely such a piece would have been exported from Brazil.
