| Description | Our main focus is to enjoy the outdoors, collect rocks, minerals and fossils. Our Club hosts weekend trips and week long trips to other interesting localities in BC and Alberta. A club member is a Geologist who teaches other members about geological facts in our area. We are involved in the Canadian Rock and Gem Show hosted in Castlegar each summer. Our area is rich in old mines and interesting geological sites. We collect specimens for teaching in the local elementary schools. We provide displays for local community events. |
