curious why there's a (2) after my name...

I've noticed that for me (and a handful of other other users) there's a (2) after my name. As I doubt there are two people with my name, I'm guessing maybe I messed up when I originally registered (maybe I registered twice?) Not a particularly big deal, but if this was some error on my part and it can be easily corrected by one of the administrators, I suppose I'd rather not stand out anomalously anymore... :)

Yup, seems you registered in 2002, disappeared for 8 years, and came back with a second registration in 2010. So, welcome back! We're happy to have you as a contributor. Old registration now deleted to avoid confusion; luckily there were no photos attributed to that registration.

Thank you for the effort, but the (2) seems persistent despite several logins. I just posted an article that shows it.

Could I have that done as well? I don't have access to the original linked email account. Thanks and sorry for any extra work.

I have that (2) branded on my forehead as well and I'd like it removed with a process that does not involve acid please! When did I first register BTW?

Thanks David for the archival work. I knew it was a while back. I logged out a few times and back in and still getting the 2. I closed the tab down and reopened to no avail. Do I need to do something different?
