this photo ID 689213, 8 june 2015,an equel photo of Gaspéite ID.612612, 10 may 2014,is it possible to approve ID 689213 because here you can see how the crystals can be p.w. 0.76 mm,

Is this analysed? Often such xls are just a second generation of greenish to yellowish smithsonite.

Gaspeite description in "LAURION" der Aufschluss 5/6 Jahrgang 53 September Dezember 2002,page 310 gives a good description, is Mg rich Gaspeite yellowish the crystals are very small and oft on Siderite and Calcite in the neighbourhood Annabergite crystals,

Lavrion specialist Branko Rieck thinks the identification is not trustworthy unless there is an analysis.
If it would be really gaspéite, it would be the most beautiful specimen ever found in Lavrion, he wrote.

SXRD analysis gave the rhombohedral (hexagonal setting) unit-cell parameters 4.64, 14.98 A, so this could be gaspeite, but also impure magnesite or smithsonite (impure dolomite is less probably).

Sample was sent back; EDS is still necessary.
