Mineralogical ClassificationAbellaite, new mineral species, the first new mineral species discovered in Catalonia

In 2015 the IMA approved the new mineral species Abellaite, discovered in the Eureka mine, Castell-estaó, La Torre de Cabdella in Catalonia, Spain, by Joan Abella i Creus http://www.mineralogicalrecord.com/labels.asp?colid=1358 and named in his honor. It is the first new mineral species discovered in Catalonia.

It is the first new mineral species discovered in Catalonia.

In Catalonia south only! :-) because in northern Catalonia, omsite was approved in 2012.

Joan, I think you can do it yourself. Just upload the pics to your mindat gallery and, after approval, they will go automatically to the abellaite page.
