If it works for Nordstrom's it's **gotta** work for Mindat!

Wow.... That's all that came to my mind when I saw this.... I can't say I am surprised that it sold out.... I mean, seriously, $85 for a "Los Angeles" stone!!! Yeeha!!!! What a deal!!!!

:-S

The stone is so rare it doesn't even have a MinID!

It's like the pet rock all over again.... I guess Nordstrom is losing its edge (if it ever had one in the first place)...

Just imagine being in the group of decision makers on that one... I can see one jacka$$ saying, "well... we need to reinvent the pet rock... give me ideas people!!!" Some other jackwad could say, "I know!!!! We need a Paris Hilton style pet caddy!!!!"

I'm sure due to the "success" of this item that they'll expand to some "bling" like Cubic Zirconia encrusted bag, but they'll probably call it Diamond-bag!

:-D

Wow... well, smart people at Nordstrom, and stupid buyers.

Anybody know someone handy with leather? I have plenty of Great Lakes wave-worn beach rocks

"... and stupid buyers." I wouldn't go this far. After all I imagine most non0mineral collectors think mineral collectors are weird/'stupid' too.

They capitalized on a need, good for them I'm jealous. I see a new product line for next Christmas, I will call it the "emotional support rock" and will offer them in all colors LOL

I bet its rock from a quarry in the Californian mountains that have been sitting in a piece of land or a warehouse in Los Angeles for a while... Honestly, a river rock like that could have come from anywhere... For $85 they better have proof its from Los Angeles. I would never pay that kind of money if it was from somewhere else. ;-)

Hmm, not a bad idea....

Think about it perhaps this way: you get a nice, smooth pet to caress, don't have to feed it, don't have to change "cat litter", and it's really easy to take for a walk. Also, it doesn't bark at you or your neighbours, or tear apart your furniture when you're not looking ;-)

Seasonal Cheers,

Yeh, everyone - any one of us could have come up with that idea, and obviously made a bundle off it.... I could sure come up with more rocks to fulfill demand.

If you got rocks & mouse hides for furry rocks for winter it could be the new, better thing ;-)

"LOL", but, It will be sold out !

Just a matter of advertisement and finding the right business target...

Please dont put the rock asleep on the bed while charging your tablet underneath.

Your rock will wake up with a headache. Or even worse, it could get cancer from the waves.:-D

A pity it's sold out.
