Ref.: Rocks & Min.:63:113; Stroud, et al(1969). A zinc mine located NE of Ponca along the Buffalo River in NW Newton Co. Ore is mineralized Batesville Sandstone and Boone Limestone. Started in the 1880's, restarted during WWI and closed in the 1950's.

Manager mote: this is possibly the same as the Ponca City Mine. See:
