Sunk Mine
An iron mine in magnetite ore located about 6 miles NE of Peekskill and about 2 miles North of Oscawana Lake. One of the Canada group of mines. The ore bed was 1,500 feet (490 meters) long on outcrop and 12 feet (4 meters) thick. Workings included a cut 1,000 feet long and 300 feet deep.
