A former small underground Cu-Ag mine located in the NE¼ sec. 28, T14S, R12E, 1½ miles SE of the Golden Gate Mountain. Operated 1941. Operated by Frank Zappia.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in clastic sediments. Alteration includes oxidation.

Local structures include Cretaceous-Paleozoic quartz monzonite intrusions regionally, with associated mineralization.

This mine was the only base or precious metal producer in the district. Description from the nearby mines in the Amole District and reconnaissance geology.
