The Höllgrotten are a network of stalactite caves in the Lorzentobel near Baar in Canton Zug which was discovered in 1863. 1892 and 1902 two more caves were discovered ("Bärenhöhle/Bear's Cave" and "Zauberschloss/Magic Castle"). The caves formed some 15,000 years ago in molasse sediments. The cave is open to the public.
The caves have small lakes, stalactites, stalagmites and stalagnates in various colours. In the root grotto in the upper part of the cave, incrusted tree roots can be seen.
