Williams (circa 1945) writes: "At the Long-lot quarry in Long Hill Hollow, Beryl occurs in pockets with crystals of [microcline] Feldspar, terminated and transparent." This quarry consists workings located on the SE flank of Long Hill, off of the "Allen vein". Williams' map had mislocated it on the NE flank of Long Hill, where there is no quarry. There is a smaller quarry a little further west, probably part of the same complex.
