The Dooley's Nob wolfram mine is a small outlier location on the Hatches Creek field. Its location could not be confirmed, but its safe to say there is no track to it. Please remember this is a remote location, dry, and rough, so take precautions. The Mindat map is based on maps for the mine, despite the lack of physical evidence, and this is a couple of kilometres west north-west of the Hit or Miss mine.
The mine is in sandstone and quartzite, and represents the western limit of the Hatches Creek field. Tungsten mineralisation is said to be poor. The reefs are short, with pockets of wolframite. Ryan states there are a few shallow open cuts. He states its history is confused. Taken out by Ward and Dooley (surnames) in 1916. The reefs are parallel to the host bedding, dipping 60 degrees south.
