An U occurrence/prospect located in approximate sec. 17, T4lN, R19E, G&SRM, about 6.7 km (4.2 miles) ESE of Hoskinnini Mesa (coordinates of record) and 8.1 km (5.0 miles) N of Boot Mesa (coordinates of record), in Monument Valley. The geographic coordinates presented are for the center of sec. 17. This locality is not listed in the USGS MRDS database.
Mineralization is an U deposit hosted in a Shinarump Member of the Chinle Formation paleochannel. The ore body is uraninite in a continuous ore pod 25 feet x 175 feet.
Workings include exploratory drilling (1959).
