A former underground Ag-Au mine located in North-central (E½NW¼) sec. 20, T.23S., R.11E, on private land. First produced 1890. The Progressive Mining Co.; Holt; Aubrey; Dale; Mr. Leo Teal (1979); and, Hack & Irwin (1975) had unspecified involvement here.
Mineralization is gold and silver values in a shear zone of brecciated, pulverized and sericitized Jurassic volcanic tuff cemented by finely-crystalline quartz.
Workings were tunnel and shaft operations. Worked sporadically sine the late 1880's through 1942, producing some 1,250 tons of ore averaging about 12 oz. Ag/T and 0.4 oz. Au/T.
