A former small surface and underground Pb-Zn-Ag-Cu-Au mine located in the NE ¼ sec. 18, T.18S., R.17E., 9 miles SSW of Pantano. Owned at times, or in part, by T.W. Wagner & C. McCullough (circa 1915); Hilton; and, Driggs.
Mineralization is lead and zinc carbonates and silver chlorides in a 3 foot wide ferruginous, oxidized, dark brown ore vein in the dark Paleozoic limestone bed. The ore zone is oxidized and is 0.91 meters wide and dips 50SE. Alteration includes massive sulfide gossan.
Workings include shallow openings and a shaft to a depth of 50 feet (15.24 meters); and a 10 foot prospect pit. Operated in the late 1800's and early 1900's and produced considerable high-grade lead-silver ore (17% Pb & to 400 oz. Ag/T). Unmined ore was present in 1915.
