A former small surface and underground Ag-Cu-Pb-Au mine located in the NW ¼ (N½ ?) sec. 25, T.19S., R.15E., 7 miles S of Helvetia. Produced 1928-1939. Owned at times, or in part, by L. & R.; Comstock Mines Co.; W.C. Hurlbut; Jones & Clyne; the Arizona Comstock Mining Co., and A.J. Harshberger.
Mineralization is irregular quartz veins with spotty, partially oxidized, lead and copper minerals associated with Laramide quartz latite plugs and dikes cutting Cretaceous sediments and volcanics.
Workings include tunnel and open cut operations. Prospected and worked intermittently from the late 1800's to 1940. Produced some 100 or more tons of ore averaging about 30% Pb, 5% Cu, 15 oz. Ag/T and 0.3 oz. Au/T. 1900-1910 sorted ore $800/t Au, Ag, & Pb. Late 1800'S-1940 30% Pb, 5% Cu, 15 oz/t Ag 100 tons.
