The site covers many acres southeast of Sawmill Tank around the old mill site. The area has been reforested; however numerous shallow strip pits, trenches, and piles cover the landscape. Several pieces of rusting mining equipment remain.
An ore stockpile was reported in the late 1960’s but it could not be found in 2021; it is assumed the ore was cassiterite. Little of interest to mineral collectors was found.
