Magnetite skarn, mined in 1846-1849. Cžjžek (1853) mentions that the mine/adit is collapsed.
The ore is hosted by garnet amphibolite.
The actual location of the mine is not fully ascertained, it appears; possibly magnetite was mined at several locations around Stockern (one may be in a copse about 600 m SSE of Stockern).
