The village of Herodsfoot, renowned in mineralogical circles for the Herodsfoot mines which produced spectacular specimens of bournonite and tetrahedrite, lies on the junction off three parishes.

The south-western section of the village lies within Lanreath parish.

The old Herodsfoot Mine lies in Lanreath, the survivng engine houses of the North Herodsfoot Mine and the north-western section of the village lie within St Pinnock parish.

The eastern side of the village and the former South Herodsfoot Mine and Herodscombe Mine actually lie within Duloe parish.
