Dolomitized ridge within Variscan externides, within the Late Permian Zechstein Basin (initiation: Lower Carboniferous). The ridge separates the Zielona Góra Basin and the Variscan Foreland.

The local stratigraphy, surface-to-lowest beds: main anhydrite (A3) Older Rock Salt (Na2) Basal Anhydrite (A2) Main Dolomite (Ca2) Upper Anhydrite (A1g) Oldest Rock Salt (Na1) Lower Anhydrite (A1d) Zechstein Limestone (Ca1).
