An operation said by locals to date back to the Second World War, when generous supports were granted by the government to explore local ore deposits. A short adit was driven to the NE (i.e. towards the Bellan lodes) in barren granite and a building was erected, whose ruins are located near the car park in lower Cot Valley. There are no records, nor any indications of an output by this mine.
