A former pumice and perlite deposit/group of unpatented claims/mine in the SW¼ sec. 28, T6S, R29E, G&SRM, 18.3 km (11.3 miles) WSW of Nutrioso, on U.S. Bureau of Land Management administered land. Claim owned by Encinas Carlos, Arizona (1977). The USGS MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 to 500 meters.
Mineralization is a pumice/cinders deposit hosted in Oligocene rhyolite. Local rocks include Middle Miocene to Oligocene volcanic rocks and Holocene to middle Pliocene basaltic rocks.
