A W-Au occurrence/prospect located in the N½ sec. 21, T17S, R10E, SBM, 9.5 km (5.9 miles) SSE of Ocotillo, on Bureau of Land Management administered land (located claim). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
Mineralization is a W skarn deposit (Mineral occurrence model information: Model code: 42; USGS model code: 14a; deposit model name: W skarn), hosted in biotite schist. The ore body is lenticular, strikes N20-55W and dips 20-75SW at a thickness of 2.13 meters and a length of 18.29 meters. Mineralized zones are irregular. Associated rocks include Late Cretaceous tonalite. Local rocks include Miocene nonmarine rocks.
Workings include underground openings comprised of 10 prospect pits and a 52 foot long adit in biotite schist.
Analytical data results: Analysis of 12 samples: 9 had no mineral value; 1 had 0.02 ounce/ton Au & 1.6% WO3. Another chip had 0.01% WO3.
