A clay occurrence located 3.5 km (2.2 miles) SW of El Centro center, S of Interstate highway 8, between Dahlia Canal on the E and Lotus Canal on the W. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a sedimentary clay deposit hosted in the Borrego Formation (lake sediments, Holocene clay & mud). Local rocks include Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.
