A Mn occurrence located in sec. 12, T9N, R10E, MDM, about 2.2 km E of Logtown (site), along the E side of Martinez Creek (4 miles S of El Dorado), on private land. Operated by Cecilia Simpson. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in Josephine Ophiolite. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
A small, low-grade deposit.
