A former talc-soapstone mine located in sec. 30, T18S, R40E, MDM, 3.1 km (1.9 miles) ESE of Eagle Point (coordinates of record). Operated by Edith Lockhart and G. Koest, Darwin, California (1981). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
Note: The mine name on the USGS Darwin 15 minute topo map may be in error, see Plate 1 of Hall, Wayne Everett & E.M. Mackevett (1958).
Local rocks include Devonian marine rocks, unit 1 (Death Valley).
