A former Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 15, T30S, R33E, MDM, 1.5 km (0.9 mile) NNW of Twin Oaks and 2.9 km (1.8 miles) NE of Loraine, along the E canyon wall of Sand Canyon. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Pemberton gives the name as "Ello Mine."
Local rocks include Tertiary intrusive rocks (hypabyssal), unit 7 (Northern Mojave Desert).
