A former lode Au-Ag mine located in sec. 13, T5S, R17E, MDM, 2.8 km (9,000 feet) WNW of Garnet Point and 3.3 km (2.0 miles) SW of Pendola Gardens and about 4.8 miles W of Mount Bullion, N of Shanghai Ridge. Operated 1936 to 1938. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. This is one of the Las Maripopsas land grant mines. The land has reverted to agricultural status.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include unspecified underground openings.
Production data are found in: Bowen and Gray (1957).
Produced 99 tons of ore which yielded an average of 32.89 ounces Au and 8 ounces Ag, an average of $11.70 (period values) per ton.
