A reported former lode Au mine located in sec. 26, T3S, R16E, MDM, about 3.2 miles SW of Buckhorn Peak, along the Merced River (Lake McClure (Exchequer Reservoir)), near its confluence with Whites Creek. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

NOTE: Both MRDS files present geographic coordinates which place this locality deep in Merced County (37°8'43"N, 120°10'22"W). Verification of the coordinates for the center of the T&R sec. 26 revealed that these coordinates are in error. The center of that section has the coordinates 37°38'45"N 120°10'45"W. Based on these data, the latitude value should probably be 38', which value is presented in this file.

MRDS database file notes: "Possibly USBM card from which earlier crib reporter prepared first record of this claim," and "No information of where this record came from or the related MAS record (10236476). Probably should delete both records."

No production records found.
